Fishing Trips & Lodging Packages
Whether you are seeking a 1 day guided fishing experience or a full service lodging, meals and fishing package we have you covered.

Smallmouth Bass Fishing
Cast from the raised decks of our bass boat or fly fish from our Grand Laker canoe as we slip into hidden bass waters. The rocky shoreline of Junior Lake provides for fast small mouth bass fishing action. Many of the waters we fish for bass also hold large chain pickerel. These feisty, aggressive fish make for added fun and opportunity.
The Lincoln Lakes region also boasts liberal largemouth bass populations and limits. 2 anglers

Landlocked Atlantic Salmon
Salmon fishing in lakes is most productive from ice-out to early summer, and again in September. During these times most anglers troll near the surface, around rocky points or shoals, and near the mouths of tributaries or thoroughfares. Sewn smelts or artificial lures that imitate smelts are effective baits. We can also provide high quality, proven hand-tied streamers from one of the region’s most experienced expert fly tiers. You’ll fish from an authentic Maine Grand Laker canoe, a storied tradition in the Grand Lakes region of Maine for nearly a century. 2 anglers

Pontoon Group Fishing
If you have a large group for your fishing party and want to fish together, we can arrange fun trips for up to 4 anglers on our 20-foot pontoon boat. The boat is equipped with 10 rod holders, so each angler can fish 2 rod setups. Junior Lake is a two-tier fishery, meaning you have the opportunity to fish for salmon and bass on the same trip! All required safety equipment, including personal flotation devices, is provided – up to 4 anglers.
Seasons & Opportunity
The freshwater bass spawn starts when lake water temps reach 60 F, usually in late May and early June, and the top-water action is red hot through June and July. It’s hard to go wrong with a spinner bait, live bait or popping bug placed enticingly close to shorelines, docks and downed trees.
Live bait, readily available, works great too. There’s enough water — and species — to keep you busy for a week or more. The bass fishing here on the famed Penobscot River watershed — and in many surrounding rivers and lakes — is second to none in this part of the world. Limiting out and 2-3 pounders are common here. Spin, bait and fly-fisherman are welcome. For those seeking to get off the beaten path in Maine’s fabled north woods, this is the region to do it.
Maine now supports one of the largest sport fisheries for landlocked Atlantic salmon in the world. Salmon provide the primary fishery in 201 Maine lakes, and they provide incidental fisheries in an additional 103 lakes. They also provide good fisheries in 50 rivers and streams totaling about 320 miles.
The average size of salmon harvested from Maine lakes is 16-18 inches and 1.5-2 pounds, but 3 to 5 pound salmon are not uncommon. Trolling is our preferred method of fishing salmon, with the added chance at a trophy lake trout.
The Maine Guide Shore Lunch

If you truly wish to round out your Maine fishing adventure, we’ll have a traditional Maine Guide shore lunch on a remote beach or island. The shore lunch has become a signature of the Grand Lakes region fishing guides, as much as their wooden green canoes. Cooked over a hot open fire, chicken, steak, pork chops or freshly caught fish star as the entree, while fried potatoes and onions round out the main course with pickles on the side. Typical desserts are apple crisp, blueberry muffins or cookies. A cup of steaming Guide’s coffee tops off the meal.
